Frequently Asked Questions

What are Visual Voice Prints?

A voiceprint consists of measurable features of a human voice, also known as a soundwave, that uniquely identify a person. When we transform your voice into visual artwork, we create what we call a Visual Voice Print.

How do I send my recording?

You can upload your recording when placing your order, or email it to support@sweetpapyrus.com afterward. Just be sure to include your order number in the subject line.

How do I record a voice message?

The simplest way to record your message is by using your phone's Voice Memo or Voice Recorder app, and you can email the file directly from your phone. Alternatively, you can use your phone or camera’s video feature to record and send us that file.

How do I record my baby’s heartbeat?

The simplest way to record your baby's heartbeat is by using your phone's Voice Memo or Voice Recorder app during your next doctor's visit to capture 5-15 seconds of the heartbeat sound. Don't worry about any background noise or talking; we can edit those out if necessary.

If you don't have a recording, Please email us the highest quality scan or photo (with a resolution of at least 300 DPI) of the ultrasound printout or monitor.

Is there a limit for the length of the voice recording?

There is no specific limit; we can use a message of any length. Whether it’s a simple "I miss you" or a full length song, we can accommodate it. We can also piece together parts of a voice message—just let us know your customized instructions.

How do I send my song?

You don't have to send us an MP3 file of the song; simply provide the YouTube link. If the song isn't available online, please email the audio file to support@sweetpapyrus.com after placing your order.

Can you fit an entire song on a smaller size print?

Certainly, we can accommodate any length on any size. The compression of the sound waves will vary, affecting the level of detail visible. Generally, larger sizes will reveal more detail.

Many songs look impressive in their entirety, but if you wish to emphasize a specific lyric, we can edit the song to feature only that section. If you're unsure about your choice, feel free to request a preview. Rest assured, we can make adjustments if you're not satisfied with the waveform's appearance.

What type of audio/video files are accepted?

We can work with any audio or video file. If you're sending a song, you can just send us the link to the song on YouTube.

My file is too large for email, how can I get it to you?

You can shorten the video to a smaller clip and send it as an email attachment. If it remains too large, the preferred method is to upload it to Dropbox, Google Drive, or WeTransfer and then share the file. If this seems too complex, you can also record the desired sections using your phone while the video plays on your computer or TV (using the voice memos or voice recorder app on your phone) and directly email that file from your phone.

Can I have more than one recording on my print?

Yes, you can have more than one recording on your print. For each additional recording, there is a $10 fee. Just select the desired number of extra recordings during the customization of your order. You have the option to choose the colors for each recording.

What is a QR code?

A QR code is a scannable code that, when scanned with your phone's camera app or any QR code reader app, will play your recording. Each order includes a complimentary card with the QR code printed on it. You also have the option to have the QR code printed on a keychain or a wallet size aluminum card. Alternatively, you can opt to have the QR code printed directly on the artwork itself

How do I play the recording on the QR code card?
